Broadway Talkies

Even before Mount Road, there was Broadway.

One of the major thoroughfares of the city, the road has seen major transformations over decades and has been host to eclectic commercial endeavours; some have stayed, while others have moved on. The road continues to carry vestiges of the past, a past that boasts of diverse establishments, institutions, and residences of the wealthy.

Come discover a Broadway that's much more than the chaos and the traffic, a Broadway that echoes the past, and is home to structures that have survived the wrath of time and development, providing us with a hint of the life that was before.

What Participants Say

The way it's narrated was very good , not a very long hectic walk .. it was a good distance with alot of visual elements and information.. It changes the perspective at which we see Chennai.

I liked the overall theme. I'm an avid reader of Madras history and I could visually connect with some of the elements I had read of and it was a great experience

Loved the way the history wasn't all over the place and linked into stories.
