We are delighted to present the 6th edition of Madras Inherited x Binsan Oommen Baby Madras calendar! As is our tradition, we’ve infused this special calendar with the unique charm of Madras, celebrating the distinctive elements of this spectacular city we all call home.

This year’s focus is on the city’s magnificent Indo-Saracenic architecture. This distinctive style, unique to Chennai, gained prominence after 1857, a period marked by significant shifts in Indian policies and principles. While some view it as the pinnacle of Indo-European architectural innovation, it can also be interpreted as a strategic political instrument used by colonisers to shape Madras’s visual narrative. The outcome is a collection of stunning monumental architectural masterpieces, proudly showcasing indigenous labour, materials, and construction techniques.

We have retained your and our favourite part — at the end of the month, each calendar page may be turned into a picture card/ postcard that you can keep, frame, or send to a special someone. Finally, the QR code located at the back of every picture contains something unique.
